Great location right in center of old town just of the main street. 
Quaint, comfortable and functional apartment. Very clean and nicely furnished. 
Staff was very helpful and friendly. 
Dubrovnik does not allow apartments to display their name, so although we found the address OK we were not sure we had the right place until the staff came out to meet us. 
We enjoyed the experience of staying in the old town and the comfort of an apartment. 

Serendipity 

Right in the heart of Old Dubrovnik. Walk down a set of steps and you are there. Restaurants, cafes, iconic historical monuments. It's all there. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we required. Our host met us and provided local information and was always available should we need anything.

Very comfortable apartment in the centre of the old town

Absolutely exceptional value for money. The apartment was in an unbeatable location, in the centre of the old town, close to everything but not too noisy (just a pleasant restaurant background noise until 10pm). The air conditioning was SUPERB. I can't sleep in a warm room, so the air con saved my holiday. It was quiet, extremely effective and you could set the exact temperature with a remote control from your bed. Heaven. There was also air con in the living room, which also serves the second bedroom. The wifi was perfect. The decor was  cosy and traditional, I especially loved the feel of the wooden stairs. There is a small supermarket around the corner on od Puca street, just past the church. The lady who greeted us gave us a brilliant recommendation for a cheap, good quality restaurant (Kamenice), which we ate at twice.

Ideal central location in Dubrovnik old historic town

The Apartment is well fitted, really clean, perfect located and just wunderful for a short stay over night in Dubrovnik with three people. We got some recommendation from our host and I definitely recommend the market just around the corner.

Great Apartment in the middle of the old town

We staged here for three nights and found it within great walking distance for the old town. Great location just off the Main Street of old town. Apartment clean and tidy. Tea, coffee and water left in apartment. Good room sizes. 

Dubrovnik 

I rented Ikana's apartment for three nights during the off season. The location is in the Old City and just a few feet from the main street. The apartment is very convenient and comfortable. Ikana herself met me at the gate, walked me in, and explained everything I need to know. She also left fresh fruit and beverages. I strongly recommend it but would like to note that the living area with kitchen, bathroom, and small bedroom are on the top floor, while the main bedroom with full-sized bed is on the middle level, which doesn't have a bathroom. Entrance is on ground level, which itself is a level above the street. I share this because the stairs and bathroom may be a consideration for some older travelers...but, again, I loved my stay and would be delighted to return in the future.

Great Location and Value

Apartment Ikana was just upstairs from a narrow passageway off the main walkway through Dubrovnik Old Town.  The owner lived downstairs and met us when we arrived at 9 AM, having taken the overnight ferry from Bari, Italy.  He was happy to store our bags for us so we could take the Panorama tour up the mountain to get a great view of the walled city.  
When we came back at 2 our apartment was ready, it was very charming with a small reception hall on the bottom floor, a double bed, bedroom on the second floor and a single bedroom, kitchen/eating area, bathroom and livingroom on the top floor.  It was very clean and equipped with cooking supplies including salt and pepper and a few spices.
The wifi was very good at this location, I was finally able to upload my photos from Florence, Italy to Facebook. 
We loved Apartment Ikana and recommend it to budget travelers who want to be steps away from all this city has to offer.

Right in Old Town

Excellent location close to Pile Gate.  No need to climb up steep stairs from Stradun. All sights in the old city within easy walking distance.  The staff is very friendly and helpful, and gave me useful info and recommendations on where to eat. Next door neighbour even helped me carry my suitcase up the stairs. The apartment has everything, kitchen, washing machine, tea bags, instant coffee. Very clean and well maintained. The host even provided free apples and candied orange peels (local product) during my stay. Wifi is good.
The apartment has a double bedroom on the lower floor, the living room/kitchen/bathroom-toilet/single bedroom  on the upper floor, connected by a narrow spiral staircase. I suppose all old houses in the old town are like this. Just be careful when negotiating the stairs, especially when you have large suitcases or weak legs.
It was a very nice stay.  

Excellent location, very nice apartment

Owners very frienly. We did the checkin before the hour arranged by airbnb. We have no problem. We leaved our luggage im the apartment and go to visit the city. All was perfect!

Dubrovnik stay for one night,very well situated.

Three factors come into play whenever I consider accommodation during my travels. First is cost Apartment Ikana is quite affordable in the heart of the old town. Second is location. Being literally in the middle of the old town, it is very convenient as a base to explore the old town. Third, the facilities. The apartment is fully furnished with fridge, washing machine, and cooking facilities. They even have air conditioning in the main living area and in the master bedroom! These features are rare in Europe, and comes in handy during the hot summer period.
The host Katarina who greeted us was also very hospitable. She explained everything to us and even recommended the good places for sightseeing, eating, and getting groceries. 


Excellent affordable mini apartment in the heart of old down Dubrovnik

Our accomdation was excellent and the host was so friendly and helpful. The quaintness of the flat and location was very memorable. I would highly recommend Ikana Apartment!

An Excellent Location &amp; Stay!

Had a lovely one night stay at Ikana. We don't usually choose to stay within the old town's when traveling however we were only in Dubrovnik for one night so thought staying close by would be appropriate. 
It was close to everything we wanted to see and do (maximum a 10min walk from something.), checking in was effortless and staff were really helpful and everything was very clean.
Would definitely stay there again.

The host (Ikana) was on hand to meet us when we arrived from the airport. The apartment was absolutely spotless. The apartment is like home away from home, a fully working kitchen with all the necessary kitchenalia. At the half way point the apartment was serviced/cleaned,(sheets and towels changed etc). An excellent base to explore the old town.

I booked my apartment for the first time in Croatia.
When we visited the old town of Dubrovnik, I was worried whether I could meet with the owner smoothly.
But the owner was waiting at an easy place in the old town.
After receiving explanation, I received the key and I was able to spend freely in the apartment.
There was dishes and cups in the room without inconvenience.
We celebrated New Year's pleasure with wine poured into cups of the room.
Check-out is simple by just placing a key in the post.
More than anything, the owner's smile was nice!!

Our host met us at the Pile Gate and helped with luggage to our apartment. Unlike many, it is on the level streets, near fabulous restaurants. Dubrovnik is a fairy tale. The apartment was warm and cosy for our Winter week's stay, with stairs to the first level, a double bedroom, then stairs to the second level which had a single bedroom and all the amenities. The hosts were friendly and helpful.  Highly recommended for younger people. Stairs not suitable for oldies.

PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE HOUSE RULES

1. Close the windows when you are going out of the apartment.
2. Extinguish all electricity consumers when you are going out of the apartment (air conditioning, heating, TV, light...)
3. Produce no noise after midnight (12 AM)
4. If bringing company over please do not disturb the neighbours and note that if extra people are sleeping at the apartment, charges may be applicable.
5. Take care and keep inventory of the apartment, especially floor and furniture.
6. Any damage caused by negligence will have to be compensated.
