Apartments Neve

We stayed for 10 nights. The view was fantastic. On arrival the landlady was friendly welcoming and helpful. The apartment was basic but comfortable. Do not stay here if you are not reasonably fit as there are steep steps down to the beach and a very steep driveway down from the main road to the apartments. The website was misleading and definitely needs updating. Had we known that a car was essential to enjoy our stay at these apartments we simply would not have booked to stay. The description states the nearest restaurant is 700m away and a shop a bit further. This is ridiculously incorrect. The nearest restaurant was at least a mile away and on foot meant walking along the busy main road which had no pavement and then down a very steep section of road and yet more steps. There is no shop within a reasonable walking distance which was a major drawback for a self catering apartment. The nearest restaurants were however very good with friendly staff and reasonably priced food. There is a bus service into Dubrovnik which is cheap but not particularly regular. The private beach was ok but very stoney and I would recommend taking a pair of beach shoes as getting in the water without was awkward and painful. Dubrovnik is beautiful and well worth visiting. A good holiday but spoilt by the location/inaccurate description of facilities.
