Villa Iveta - Donji Kat (Martina)

We decided to have a 2 night stay in the beautiful city of Dubrovnik after a weeks cruising and chose Vila Iveta. The property was very difficult to find despite scrutinising the directions provided at time of booking as there was no signage directing the way. This may be a council regulation as no properties had good signage. When we eventually found the property we were met by Martina who was very welcoming and provided wifi codes which on the whole was good connection. Our room was basic but adequate with a good sized shower which was great, lovely and hot as well as powerful. Towels were provided. The bedding is also provided which is just a thin sheet, blanket and over throw which in a few weeks when the temperature Rises will be all you need. We required an extra pillow and after an email to Mattina she quickly organised for us. The property is self catering and a fridge is provided as well as a kettle along with cutlery, plates, glasses, mugs etc. There isn't a toaster and no cooking facilities. Just at the bottom of the MANY UNFORGIVING steps are a couple of really good mini supermarkets where you can buy fruit, veg, said items, water, wine etc and we found it very reasonable. All in all a nice stay on a traditional rustic property. Beware of the steps and establish directions. The pile gate entrance to the old town is very close and we chose to be picked up for our return to the airport at the Hilton imperial hotel just near the property as easier. The view from our sea view room was ok and we did have a sea view but I was expecting a fuller view but don't get me wrong it was lovely and peaceful sat with a local Croatian wine looking out.
